Yea I'm thinking I'll be putting it up above the mirror I'll have to hunt down those 90 degree connections they look like they make life easy up there lol

x2 that's where I put it, never gets in the way and easy access too as you said.

I was worried if mounted above the mirror would water leaks from either top get into the radio? Beside the passenger console I could cover it up easier too if water ever became a problem.

Hmmm now I dont know what to do I like it above the mirror but it just seems easier on the console

Try the console if you absolutely hate it then move it..... You'll be left with a couple small screw holes but no biggie.... Plus you won't see them, your passengers will. Lol

I have the cobra 29 mounted to the passenger side of the console, but I used an existing mounting bolt and did not have to drill any holes. I will try to take a picture shortly

I attached clips below the glove box so the CB can be removed easily. Works great.

Default cb mount pics

Here is the left side mount. It is simply a metal bracket attached to one side of the radio and bent like an "L" at the end to clip it under the trim:



The other side has a similar setup, but the end of the bracket is bolted down with the bolt that holds the dash down:

I used a piece of 1" square stock and made this mount myself. Hard top works won't know if the soft does till spring, but not anticipating any problems.
