Did you use the existing bolt on the passenger side? I replaced the factory bolt with one that was longer and mounted a Midland 1001Z. It fits perfect but I have a Cobra LX LE that I want to mount. I don't want to drill any holes. Any tricks I need to know about ?

I used the Cooltech Ultramount antenna kit that comes with a 4 ft Firestik Firefly antenna. Added a Firestik quick disconnect that I got on ebay. The mount is a welded up stainless bracket that mounts inside your modified license plate mount with a bolt, washer and lock nut. You have to sand the inside of the body where the washer will be so you get a good ground. Once you take off the tail light there is a huge hole that makes the sanding job easy.
