Default CB NOOB with probably a dumb question

Hi everyone, I'm going the Northwoods mole lake Jeep Jamboree this year and I need a CB. The catch. I can't drill any holes and want to avoid a large external antenna. The only use the CB will get is during the Jamboree. Is there a CB that basically is like a walkie talkie where antenna and every thing is all one unit?

Several to choose from! Just don't expect much range from them.

Default moded 75-822 deal?

does this look like a worth while deal and worth while tweaks to you guys? I think this is the unit I"ll get, not sure if the mods are worth while.

i had that 75-822, i hated it. it was horrible as a portable unit.. couldnt hear the jeeps in the fron or rear of the pack (I was in the middle)

and then as a mobile unit using external antenna tuned to 1.3 ont he SWR, I couldnt understand the people close to me, they were garbled. get a cobra 75 or 29 and be done with it.

Ok if i were to go with the Cobra 75 with an external antenna is it better than the Midland 75-822 utilizing the mobile adapter and an external antenna?
My plan was to use a portable to avoid mount an external antenna because i didn't want to drill holes. Is there a way to mount the external without drilling holes anywhere?

Yes look in the CB Ham radio section There are many ways to mount I have the cooltech, Had to drill a hole in my Licence Plate plastic. Others mount by the spare tire no drill needed.

I installed at Cobra 18 and did not have to drill anything (I did replace my head unit). The only part of the installed that requires drilling is mounting the CB itself.

There are people that mount the CB on the top panel of the dash which is not very expensive to replace. Or if you just can't bring to modify anything get a Rugged Ridge dash organizer and mount the CB to that.
