JS i was digging in the write up section and found your bit for the actual radio. Nice set up.

For the speaker, just wondering where you got the bracket that you put there? Come with the speaker or what?

 

Yup, the bracket came with the speaker. The only problem is it gets _very_ hot there, and the rear of the speaker -- where it bolts on to that bracket -- is made of plastic. It eventually failed (in my hands, luckily). My father-in-law helped fab a new aluminum bracket that's working fine now. So, for anyone thinking of putting a speaker here; make sure there are no plastic bits. :-)

ok. makes sense. how much was the speaker?

 

Wallco Industrial Electronics has them for 8.77, but I had to buy two because they have a $15 minimum purchase. Always good to have a spare though.


Its really a perfect fit for a 5" horn speaker. Here ya go:

how long have you had it on there? JS had his melt. how has yours faired.
