I just picked up the Midland 75-822 handheld/vehicle mount. It's a great size and perfect for trailing with the jeep.
It comes with a vehicle adapter that also has an external antenna connector for attaching a whip to give you better range.
Seems like it's a great choice. I'll be using it on the trail this weekend so I'll let you know how well It works.
