Cobra 29 or 25?

Cobra 29 or 25?
Neead help here. new to this and i need a good place to pich up a CB Radio. i've been looking at these tow. the 29 WXMW ST Classic CB / w NOAA weather & Night Watch. and the 25 WX NW ST with weather and night watch. does anyone have these and know if these are any good. i dont want a hand held. and dont know ware to get one of these without being ripped off.

IMHO I'd take the 29 over the 25 almost any day. The only reason I would choose the 25 would be if you just didn't have the extra green (it's only a few bucks) or there was a space issue. The 25 is a little smaller. Proformance should be almost the same.

Went to local CB store in Orange, Ca. One of the few left.
Got lots of advice. "Expert" said to try and get the same unit
that most in your group is using. Asked many in my JK group
and many have 29's. Also, got new Firestick antenna and
new coax cable from him. But bought 29 from Amazon, lots
cheaper.

And who can
and who do i take it to have it peaked and tuned with all the other stuff?
I've got the 29 NW. After I got it, I was regretting not getting the 25 instead. The main reason being the size of the 29. I didn't realize how big it really was. But after an experience with the 29's features, I'm glad I got it. I just tuned it a few months ago and put it away. My meter readings ranged from 1.1 to 1.5. I put it back in a few days ago and noticed the red antenna light came on when I miked the cb. I checked the meter reading again(the 29 has a built in swr meter) and my readings were 2.0 to 3.0. After an antenna adjustment, all of my readings are once again below 1.5. I didn't change anything and probably wouldn't have bothered to do a meter check for several months if that red light hadn't come on.
By the way, if possible, go ahead and have it peaked and tuned when you buy it. You'll be glad you did. Make sure it's a real peak and tune too that includes transistor replacement and transmit/receive tuning.
