Yeah, I saw that write up but I've also got a 29ltd and it's a little heavy. That's probably the best place to mount it but given the size of the radio I was curious of the movement that you mentioned. Do you have a shot of the tab you welded to the supplied bracket?

If you are going to use it at night, Nightwatch is worth it

just picked one up! its a night watch, looks almost brand new..guy said he used it once and it sat in his closet. $50!!!

so the 25 and the 29 with nitewahtch are pretty much the same thing. just one is bigger than the other.

Here's it.

The original bracket is zinc coated. I bent the little tab up then once the shape was right I welded it to the bracket and painted semigloss black.

You can also see the 29's cover has some holes where I missed. The cover of my 29 is bolted directly to the plastic header. Like I said, originally I had it mounted just to the header but it was not enough support by itself so that's when I decided to use the bracket and weld on the little tab.

Bought the 29 night watch, same as Toad's and most others in our JK group that goes out
on runs. Easy decision, the additional cost is very little compared to the hundreds and thousands spent on all the other mods. And....local CB shop reccommended getting the
same type as most others would use in the group you wheel with.
