my question is is it worht soending the extra money for the night watch and the weather channels. i dont like the hand held from cobra. i'm looking for a full size radio. what's everyone's opinion on this.

i found this for 133.82. shipped.
If you live or are traveling through parts of the country where in climate weather is possible (every where), I would say yes. I used to live in parts of the country where tornados frequented and it was always a good thing to hear the most up to date report.

Be sure to post pics and maybe a write-up when you're done with it! I'd love to see it. I was considering the Tuffy to house it as well. Seems like the easiest/most convenient way to do it without adding more holes to my Jeep! lol

If you want a fullsize, I'd get something else. The nightwatch on the Cobra's is really fragile. If you also want longevity, Get the Uniden PC78 Elite. More durable, just as moddable, cheaper, and the backlight feature on it is more durable. If you lose the NW in the cobra, it costs more to fix it than it does to buy a new rig.
