That install looks great. I'm not sure that I would be brave enough to cut into my glove box like that unless I had an extra but I think it looks awesome.

Looking at his pictures, that thing is fairly flush with the dash door, maybe protrudes an inch and a half, if anything. I'd say the only way a passenger could hit that with their knees, would be if they had the seat all the way up/forward. I'm 6'2", and can sit on my passenger side with plenty of room between my knees and the dash door.

I just finished with the install of my CB in the glove box same unit and everything, Im 6' 6" and I fit in the passenger seat no problem with out hitting the CB.

Kentuky Mudd told me he used a GM car install kit and had some trimming but got it to fit, it looks great. Thanks for all the help. I will be starting this project as soon the cb gets here.
