Cobra 75 CB doesn't work

The Cobra 75 is junk, plain and simple. It's nice because it takes up minimal room but I've never talked to anyone who didn't have a problem with theirs. 3 people in my local club have had to return theirs for servicing.

Good to know, I was thinking about getting one of these because it was so compact. I'll steer clear now.

Basic power questions:
1. Where did you tap into the power system, and how? Battery and the side fender is per everyones writeups. With wire connectors.
2. Did you check the in-line fuse? No, cause the unit has power... No sound
3. Where did you ground the remote unit? Fender and tailgate(with a ground strap to frame)
Non power questions affecting performance:
1. What type of antenna&coax do you have? Firestick's firefly antenna(that came with kit)
2. Is the antenna grounded? Where?

(All grounds were grinded free of paint as well) I work on electrical stuff for a living so... I hope I can do that right

I think your point was that Dave is on the Forum allot everyday and the Cooltech Rep hasn't been here in a month.. Thats why Northridge4x4 has such a great customer rating on here.. He takes care of his customers

thats what may be happening. I can't sit around and wait just to hear back from them.... Maybe they decided to go on vacation
