Default Could This Really Work?

Does anyone have any experience with this product (FireStik AR-1A Matchmaker CB / AM/FM CB antenna splitter)?

AR-1A

I was thinking if I could replace my stock antenna with a Firestik and run this splitter it might be an easy solution. Questions I have are:
  1. Does the 430N have a normal antenna jack to for the splitter?
  2. Has anyone used this product (review)? It is only $18 so I don't mind trying it.
  3. Does the 430N use the radio antenna in a Wrangler for GPS? This would screw up this idea.
  4. Does anyone know the radio antenna screw size or what I would need to screw on a Firestik?

Thanks for any input or suggestions!

If this doesn't work my backup plan is a cowl mount on the reverse side but I still would like to match up the antenna (radio & CB) size.

Ok, I guess no one had any knowledge here so I made some decisions. I decided against the splitter because I would likely be disappointed.

I went with a Uniden Bearcat 980 SSB and a Wilson 5000 Trucker Antenna (305-550) 10" mast. I decided to opt for the short load antenna (39") + the Wilson. My plan is to mount it on the cowl/fender and the radio transmission should clear the metal frame nicely.

Any recommendations on the cowl/fender mounts?

Thanks!
