Wondering if others leave their CB antenna mounted all the time or only when wheeling...

Mine is bumper mounted and I could take it off easy enough, just choose not to.

Mine is off right now because the parking garage at the hospital is to low. If i didnt need to park in there so frequently i would leave mine on all the time. I used to use my CB a lot to pick up the local Marine(boating) weather forcast as it is FAR more accurate than the local tv stations.

My CB doubles as a weather alert radio, so what good would it do with no antenna?

Mine stays on unless I go into a garage then I just pop the quick disconnect.

X2: This is the 4th 4x4 I have had a CB in , and I have never taken my Ant. off.

Is there a way to secure it properly but take it off when you want to? Like a lock? I think it'd be a nice deterant.

Mines on a quick disconnect so I can get in the garage. Works well for me.
