Parking Garage at the hospital is the only place I've had to as well. Jeezz I thought I was going to have the top taken off for me. Es no bueno and without the antenna I'm not going up there again.

I leave mine on when I can, But I park in a garage and dont fit during the summer time.

Has anyone tried the Firestik quick disconect? Do you have to re-tune every time still?

I have the Firestik quick disconnect and I've checked my SWR a few times because I remove mine to enter a parking garage several times a month. I've seen no change in the SWR. I check it every 6 months now. Seems perfect !
