Taking my Extra exam tomorrow. Been bugging me since I passed the General test. Wish me luck. I'll know my schedule better tomorrow for another try.

It's not an easy test so good luck for sure. I need to get busy with that myself.......one of these days.

I have bought a study guide and have been slowly taking practice tests. Maybe by mid year I will go take the test.

Tx. BTW I used the ARRL study guide and hamradiolicenseexam dot com.

What's cool is there were four people taking the Extra four taking the general and five taking the Tech. I was completely surprised by the number upgrading to Extra! It was the biggest turnout they've had at that site.

Good timing, the topic on one of the local Nets last week was "Are you and your ham radio a dinosaur?" Judging by the steady number of new/upgraded HAMS i'd have to say no.

I was taking practice tests on the airplane trips this week and was getting about 60% right. So more practice for me.

Due to my lack of Electrical Engineering schooling/training, I really had a hard time with the Electrical Principals and both circuits sections. I made sure I was rock solid on the other sections. Then, came back and learned as much as I could about circuits. I'd have had to borrow a second brain to fit the Electrical Principals stuff in.
