I'm late getting to this thread. Nice to meet everyone. The rig and antenna installation photos are a good source of ideas, thanks.

I am an "extra" ham myself (since 1987) and quit giving my call sign over internet.. Same with my personalized ham call license plate..I got them removed..Just sharing.
It is not that I don't trust ham operators .. These forums are read by everyone...

Wish all the new hams and up-graders much of DX success..

Well.....yes and no. It depends on where you get your mail I guess. QRZ just shows my PO box. And the lat and long they list is not exactly my qth. It would still be pretty hard for somebody to track me down from just my call.

My call is NW6M and I have had my Extra class call since 1983.

Now I only operate on UHF and VHF; I haven't been on HF since early 1988 when a bad wind storm blew down or damaged all my HF antennas and then I moved to a home with CC&R's. When I was operating on HF the only mode I used was CW. Now that I can put up antennas I am contemplating getting a tower and getting back on HF.

Same here, I use a P.O. Box as well......

What happens if your one of the un-lucky ones that some jerk decides to steal your call sign and cause trouble ??

I wondered about that because I heard about a local getting caught using a call from his uncle that was a silent key....
