HAM OP Roll Call......
No, come to think of it that was with just the key in the ignition. I did listen in on a QSO this morning, one station was in Maine and he was coming in around a 58. That was with the engine running, driving down the road. I have had a lot of success with the 857's noise blanker. I had this installed in my Liberty before I sold it and have not changed the settings since then.
**Update**
I grounded the tailgate and now I can tune in 40m perfectly. I still cannot get it to tune above 20m. Any suggestions?
I tested out 40m and 20m with the engine running and I was getting a little bit of noise. My NB is set to 40 and when I turn it off I can here the fuel injectors firing.

gotta refigure all the mounts for my CB and ham radio. i just installed a "new" Warn bumper and tire carrier. probably going to either buy or fab up mounts off the original upper bolts for the tire carrier... still undecided. i work too much to do much of anything lately. :(

Well today I finally got a-round-to-it and took the tests and passed on my first attempts all the way to a general license.
Now I have to wait for my call signs
Then I can get a good setup for the Jeep.
The multi band radio's are looking good after a web search today after Dave's recommendations.
I will update the post when my call sign is in the database.
