KF6RVD... However, I think my license expired this year. I have not owned a radio in a while.

 

Chris, according to FCC list, it expired in 08.
But it also says cancelled in 2010

 

It expired in '08 which is probably 10 years since it was issued. From that date you have a 2-year grace period to get your original call reactivated. Since the '10 date has passed he would have to start over taking all tests again and getting a new call sign.
