If you want a true handheld, the cobra 75 won't work. You will have to have an antenna mounted on your jeep and the cb will be connected to your jeep with power and antenna. I do like that cb a lot and wheel with guys who have it. If you are only using it for trail rides the midland with batt pack and stubby antenna will reach everyone in your group and then some. It comes with a AA batt pack and a batt pack you can put rechargables in with a home charger.
They are both great the midland is more versitile though in a side by side comparison. I'd be happy to answer any questions if you have any.

I ordered the Cobra 75. 3' Firestik, Cooltech Versa Mount, 18' Firestik coax, quick antenna disconnect, and teraflex antenna mount. I think this should pretty much cover me!! If I missed something, someone let me know!!

Track down or buy an SWR meter to tune it. Just installed the exact setup last week. Love it.
