Ok so I install my cb today. 2012 jku. I stole power from a pink/white wire under the steering wheel. The issue is. When cb is turned off and jeep running when the key is turned off it takes the jeep about 2 seconds the actually shut down. When cb is powered up and key is turned off it shuts down like normal. It doesn't seem to affect anything (for now). Just wondering if I should be concerned. Thanks

I'd keep the CB off the Jeep's TIPM-controlled power system and go straight to the battery.

^^^X2, I always wire addition items (radios, lights, etc) straight from the battery.

Wire it to the battery. It sounds like capacitors in the CB radio are keeping the ignition powered up until they discharge. I have no idea if that will hurt anything in the long run, but you should change it.

There are two different power sources behind the dash. One is a standard 12 volt system that we are all familiar with. It's used for lighting and accessory outlets. This source is relatively safe to use if used in moderation. The other power source is part of the CanBuss system. And could guite possibly have the appearance of a normal 12 volt power supply. But beware. Because strange things happen if you attempt to use this supply for anything other than a communication enabled piece of equipment.
