Yes, I mounted the base unit as others have as well behind the glovebox. If you take out your glovebox you will see a support type bracket that the base unit can be ziptied to.

The mounting plate comes with the CB.

so heres a question for you guys with the cobra 75. does it have an aux output plug in so that you can plug a pa or other device into the cb? i have a cobra 29 lx i think it is that has a pa plugged into it and was thinking about switching to the cobra 75.
