He must get the same nonsense I get. Those 2 channels always have some clowns blathering on them.

I wonder why some get it and some don't?

Channel 6 seems to be always full of clowns with illegal amplifiers in love with the sound of their own voice. Depending on propagation conditions I can hear them up here.

Yup. Not worth ever even tuning into channel 6. None of them are up for a chat. It's all goobers broadcasting with 10,000 watts of nasty illegal amplifier power with huge spurious emissions.

x2

Our jeep club and organized rides always use channel 4 as the primary on the trail, channel 9 for emergency, and 19 on the road to the trail.

I think we should declare channel 4 the (unofficial) jeep trail channel. 19 as the highway channel as always. Any CBers in the Killeen/fort hood area of central Texas?

I think OP was looking for a channel for around town or in general for Jeeps on road. Trail would be depending on your club or group in your area. Good news is mine is finally ordered, can't wait for the UPS guy.

Given the limited use of CBs, channel 4 could easily be the "Jeep all the time channel" and in some areas you'd still never hear anything.
