Default Just received my Cobra 75 WX ST

Going to do the install this weekend. Love all of the great install threads and will be following these closely. I choose the Teraflex left side tail light mount. Any advice on this antennae mount and grounding?

Does the TF taillight mount work with the 2011-2012 taillights? I thought it was only for prior models.

I think you are right after some direction search it only showed installation on the Yj an tj etc. got to make a call today. Should I stay with Teraflex or go a different direction?

I think Teraflex makes a spare tire carrier mount for the CB Antenna. Easy bolt on.

The Ultramount from Cool Tech LLC will give you roughly the same look/location. I like mine.

x2... I use the TF spare tire carrier mount for my CB and everything works great. I didn't have to run any extra ground leads, and my readings are within specs or better.

Looked at the Ultramount and then bought the Teraflex mount. What a difference in price for something that looks pretty simple. Here's the question. Do you really need to take the mount area's down to bare metal to get a good ground? If this is the case what and where and how do you keep this from corroding in the future?

I have the TF mount for the spare tire. I just ground the finish off only right where the antenna mount hits it. Works great. I also have the firestik quick disconnect for when I'm not using the CB. I store the antenna in the roll bar cover when not being used

That's a great idea on the antennae storage! I've got the quick disconnect as well. Thanks for the info
