Aren't you even a little concerned about overheat in the center console? Maybe I'm missing something. Did you install a fan in it somewhere?

The actual cb is in the hand held. The part in the console won't overheat. Look up cobra 75 and you'll see tons of threads on it.

Where did you mount your ant and how? Could you provide pics. I'm stumped as to where to mount my 8' whip...

Thanks.

my antenna is mounted on my rugged ridge third brake light extender but terfelx makes a mount that puts it pretty much in the same place (behind the spare). you're using an 8'?! ill try to get pics tomorrow in-between classes.

You need a heavy duty mount if you have a 102" whip! Something like this:

You have an 8ft whip? Wow half the size would work fine.
But I mounted it to the rear using a TeraFlex cb mount..really happy with it.

I used strong alu-brackets for mirror installation. They have 4 mounting holes with a nice flat surface, so you can install them anywhere. Also, note the quick-disconnect feature!
