Either way, looks good - but drilling the $5 piece of plastic was a lot easier in my opinion than tearing apart the center console.

It may take eight months, but we will let no misdeed go unnoticed!

BTW--thanks for this write up. I'm getting all my parts now to do this install this holiday!
I've had absolutely no issues related to Chaffing, there is sufficient clearance between the center console and the carpet. If your install seems tight, I think you can just lift the console up a bit before tightening it down for the final time.

Default The center console...

FYI: The center console usually has the "brain" for the airbag system in most vehicles (not positive about the Jeep). It is placed here to protect it from impact. You need to be very careful when working around this. The wrong thing could activate your airbag!

Nice job on the install...looks great, the only thing is that I ripped off the licence plate. I hope you don't have that problem.

I like this install. Wonder tho is the small Cobra cb box sealed so that water cannot get in and damage it?

Default parts

Can you please post a parts list. It looks like the cb on Quadratec.com only comes with cb no antenna or coax.
