I have the Cobra 75 with CoolTechLLC GateMount.

4' Firestik FireFly mounted on inverted GateMount allows me to drive under garage door opening with just a bit of flexing.

Connector box mounted hidden below glove box. 2 small screws holding CB connection box and plug mount hole in the kick panel below glove box are all the modifications needed. Ground is landed under black screw. Power is run directly to battery through foam-filled hole where passenger dash trim meets body. No drilling required. Just push wire thru foam.

CB screen and controls are all on mic. The controls are all visable and accessible from the driver's seat without taking the mic off the VersaMount.

Cobra 75wxst, main box mounted under the glove box, and I keep the mic mounted to the Vector Off-Road E-Dock. I can move it around as needed. I keep the HAM mic on the front side of the mount and the CB on the back side of the mount.

The foam-hole power pass-through (push back passenger side dash trim) is great for routing the power wire directly to the battery thereby reducing electrical noise.

With mic disconnected and stored in the console you hardly know there's a CB at all.

I found this to be an easy install and have had no problems with it.

Is there a remote faceplate mouting kit out there for a Yeasu 208H or Icom 7900R? I was thinking of putting the faceplate on the dash and hiding the radio in some as-yet-undetermined place. Any help would be appreciated!

If anyone has suggestion for a suitable UHF/VHF bumper mounted antenna and auto-tuner I would love to hear it! ! !
