Default Standard whip antenna?

Is there a reason no one is using a standard 4' whip antenna for their CB? Seems everyone is using a firestick....

I'm sure someone is. I thought the length of a standard whip was 102", though. I didn't get one because it's just too long and I hit enough stuff with the 4' Firestik. I know plenty of people with Tj's that run the 102".

Most of the trunk mount, roof mount and magnetic mount antennas I have seen are 35"-44" long....will they not work well?

AAAH HA! That would explain that. So, is it just personal preference about which style you choose...right!?!?
