Default Storing a Firestick II inside the Jeep while not in use.

Has anyone found or come up with a good way to store a Firestick II antenna inside your Jeep while it is not mounted? I recently hooked mine up to a quick release mount so I can go places without worrying about fitting/theft. Any help would be appreciated. I have a couple of ideas, but they are not really tested.

Have you considered a PVC pipe with a cap on one end a threaded fitting on the other? I use something similar (but much larger) for my fishing rods and it works great. You could either toss it in the cargo area or under the rear seats or zip tie it to the roll bar depending on what size Firestick it is. Paint it black or cover the tube with fabric to make it less visible.

I have seen them tucked into the roll bar padding. Obviously depends on length of antenna.

I ordered a cluster of velcro straps off of ebay.
I used two to strap the antenna across the top of the rear roll bar.
Having some spares, I also velcro strapped a mini flashlight to the driver side down bar by the back door.
Cooler still, I have an LED shop light that is 12 volt powered (chargeable). I used 2 straps to mount it to the passenger side. Then I dressed the charge line in the subwoofer box, leaving the 12 volt plug about an inch or so from the rear 12 volt plug that can charge the drop light.
I am very pleased. Everything is out of the way, yet immediatly handy. And the drop light is way brighter and more practical than a flashlight.

A couple guys I know do the same thing for me I just stash it behind the rear seat which is out of eye sight because we have a Tuffy Shelf. I've thought about using some of the quick fists and mount it on the Tuffy shelf behind the seat.

Sometimes the simple stuff makes the most sense. I never even thought of Velcro!

I have mine mounted on the inside of the hardtop just above the rear glass on the inside.
would take a pic but the wife took the jeep tonight.

I used these to hold it in place. had it for years on my 07 and now use the same system on the '12
