The wife, new baby, and dog, all fell asleep at the same time last night, so i started the install and finished this morning. I can take some photos if still needed though i see some good ones above already.
Dont think head room is a issue, i'm 5'10". i came close to hitting it once but i was leaning into the jeep, with one knee on the drivers seat and reaching for the glove box. this being said... unless you are Shaq or are trying to do tricks in the front seat you should be fine.

Default Tuffy installed

I installed my Tuffy overhead console yesterday. I had originally intended on using a Galaxy DX-959 but that radio is too wide and too long. The width issue I could have just modified the Tuffy box slightly but couldnt do anything about the depth. So I was digging around the house and came across another radio I had forgotten about...Alpha 10 mini. For those of you who dont know what this radio is, it is a 10/11 meter "export" AM/FM but no sidebands. Here is the best part it measures only 6" x 6". Anyhow, this is the radio I mounted in the Tuffy box for now....

I have attached a few photos of the Alpha 10 Mini installed in the Tuffy so you can get an idea of what it looks like. A decent little radio...only gripe it the "wood grain" bezel...I mean really....WTF?!?
