Does anyone use a hand held 40 Channel CB? It seems like that would be good when acting as a guide in a hard to see incline. Just wondering if they work as well as a standard CB. I know the little rubber ducky antenna wouldn't work well inside the vehicle but maybe have a real antenna install to plug in once in the Jeep.

we used a couple of midland 75-830 handhelds years ago just between two vehicles travelling and wheeling together. it's been a long time ago now, but it seems like the small speaker was harder to hear. we had an xj cherokee then and just wanted one without a permanent install. i'd much rather have a permanent install in the jk, but if a handheld is better for you it could work with an adapter and a mag mount antenna.
