Drilled a hole right through the bumper.
I unscrew the antenna and remove the flag when not wheeling.

Thanks guys for the feedback. Anybody know what the cheapest spare tire carrier mount is? I have seen the Teraflex, Cool Tech, and an expensive one on Quadratec's website. What should I be looking to pay? What other parts do I need to collect to get it mounted?

How do I ground the antenna? Do I just put a wire on the mounting bolt or do I need it to go to the antenna?

Under $10 at a cb shop for a standard mount. I ran an extra groundwire from my tailgate to the jeep body because it was mentioned the tailgate rides on poly bushings. I never had a ground problem but an ounce of prevention is worth a lb of cure as they say.

Here is the one I have on my 09.
Seems to work fairly well.
Iv considered getting a Wilson flex antenna for it as this one is a little stiff.
