Yea, that "for automatics only" was not there when I ordered yesterday. Crap. I still wonder if it will work once it's in? If not, then I'm cutting the darn thing up and putting it above the mirror.

Edit: I can't get the stock panel out either, seems to be stuck at the bottom....

Well that was quick. Got the stock panel out, that was easy. Just "pop" the entire assembly up around the cup holders and shifters. That front piece is just clipped in. No need to pull of the transmission case knob, I just shifted into 4 high....

Bad news, There is no way the panel works with a manual. I can get it in, but you can't put that front piece back in and you can't shift into 3rd. I took it right back out.

Dremmel time for the upper mirror mod.

Edit: krzfirefighter012 beat me to it "to get it out you need pop up the center console around the shifters ..just pops straight up ....i had to remove mine to install"

Wow. I'm eating crow now. Looks like I'll be back in the Jeep come first light. Do you have any problems shifting? For the life of me, I could not get the center console to get in around it......

I got the Daystar in with some jimmying. I had to remove the center console (just the front part), and then completely remove the manual shifter boot. I put the center console back in and slid the Daystar in. I I pushed the boot back in from the top and clicked it back into place. I'm having no problems with it hitting yet.

I'm still thinking the upper visor mod might look nicer.....

I did that right after taking the pictures! It works fine, if a little cramped.

If anyone from Daystar is watching this thread.......To make it work in a manual without issue, all you would have to do is change the angle of the switch plate a bit and it would work fine.......

Thanks krzfirefighter013 for figuring out that this would work.....
