2015: I want remote start

I believe that you are destined for aftermarket without the power door locks. Honestly, the aftermarket systems have much greater range, and some even allow you to start via a phone app. But you are not going to be able to start with the stock key buttons. Unless, of course, you opt for a system like the above which allows you to start with three pushes of the lock button. I'm still intrigued by that system.

Just installed this tonight. Works as advertised. Once my dumbass realized I had to splice the yellow ignition wire to the matching wire in the twenty point plug it was a breeze.... Need a very long T20 screw driver too for the steering column cover. If you can avoid my two mistakes, you'll save yourself at least an hour and one late-night trip to Home Depot for a longer screwdriver

I bought a cheap 100 dollar ebay remote start a few years ago. Had it almost 2 years now and it still worlds great. Best thing about it was easy install and it keeps factory remote. Just click the lock button 3 times and it fires right up. Very simple uncomplicated system, range is a bit of a downside but suits my needs. The unit I bought isn't for sale anymore but kinda looks something like this: Plug and Play Remote Starter for 2007 2015 Jeep Wrangler Start w Remotes | eBay

Yep, we have the same system on my wife's truck which has manual locks and such. The range is great and the two-way is nice to have.
