Default 430/730 difference?

Could someone please break down the pro/con of the two units for me? 430 and 730 I know the price difference is huge. But why? Thanks guys.

430 = REN
730 = RER

REN is a non-NAV unit and the RER is a NAV unit, so you are paying more for the navigation feature.

They both have Nav. The 430 is Garmin and 730 is navteq. 730 allows you to use the nav and radio via voice response it also has live traffic through sirrus if you subsrcibe. Their are a few other differences I think but these are probably the biggest. I like the Garmin interface but others say the Navteq is much more advanced with more features.

The 430 is the newer of the two and is Garmin based for navigation.

Not sure why the 730 is more expensive, as it is the older of the two. But, many people, including myself, think the 730 is better b/c it is more moddable and as a huge community of people that release the firmware revisions. The 430n is more closed off, with no community support for firmware updates as of yet.

That being said, I have the 430n in my 2011 and think its great. The aftermarket Lockpick still works with it, although I don't have one.
