Do you have a 430N or a 730N radio system. if you have a 730 this will not help you.

I went to my dealer for some other issues and asked about this update. The service manager was absolutely clueless, so I didn't really push the issue. I even had the service bulletins (although they were Grand Cherokee specific), and he couldn't figure it out.

I did the install myself without a hitch. Love the gas price feature of Travel Link.

Read somewhere that these radios should be capable of the Traffic feature, as it's a similar program to travel link.

I do feel it's a shame that Chrysler, Garmin, and Sirius all seem to have their heads up their bums on this update.

I've had travel link listed on my service since day one, but never got a a disk in the mail.

I'll be contacting Jeep Customer Service to try to get some extra time on at least the Travel Link part of my Sirius Service, but I'm not holding my breath.

Default Not an ipod fix

It does not fix iPod, and as a matter of fact i think it affected the iPod negatively. As the iPod is in between songs, about 3 notes will play for the next song, then start over.

Very irritating.

Here is my original thread about this: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...yGig-430RHB***

Smile Just to clarify

I should have mentioned in my earlier post that I have a 430N radio. The upgrade disk my dealer used to upgrade my radio is FREE but I wasn't given a copy so if something goes wrong it's back to the dealer. At an earlier appt I mentioned that I had heard something about an upgrade disk floating around but my service advisor didn't know much about it. I'm very fortunate because she said she'd continue to try and research the issue. Appx three weeks later and out of the clear blue she called me and told me to swing by and get the upgrade. Just goes to show that some Jeep dealers and their service advisors really do care about service after the sale! Travel Link is cool but it's nothing to lose sleep over. However, songs off my iPhone 4 now play without any problems and the nav system seems to have been upgraded too as addresses that couldn't be found before now appear.

I bought mine in May and the update CD just arrived today. They ought to start the free trial when you instal it. I feel cheated out of two months.

The TSB at the link below fixes BT streaming and connection issues. There is an other thread on here where you can download and install the software fix...takes about 20 mins tops...for the 430/430N not the 730N.
