Default AC button light misbehaving

Recently the AC button light started misbehaving. Started with the light for the AC staying on or off after depressing it until I turned the Jeep off. The ac itself would continue to blow at whatever the last setting was. Now, the light will stay off no matter how many times I depress the button. Thought maybe just the light was out. But, the air doesn’t get cold. Occasionally I’ll start up the Jeep and the light will be on (even with the fan at 0) and no cold air when cycling through the fan.

The defroster and recirc buttons work fine. I’ve cycled through the fan speeds and various configurations. I’ve pulled and checked every fuse that even mentions HVAC in the owners manual.

Disclaimer: I’ve got a random gremlin that makes one (or both) rear turn signals go out. Easy fix of removing and putting back in the affected bulb. And, occasionally the aftermarket radio won’t power up and I have to pull the inline fuse.

Thoughts?
