Default Add aux lights to factory light switch on '13

Can someone tell me how to have a set of aux lights turn on when I turn on fogs. I've read where splicing won't work on '12's and assume that includes 13's.

Is there any solution for this?

Unless you can figure out what wires are which for the fog lights so you can add a relay to turn on your Aux. lights, I would not recommend doing it like that. Your factory fog light wiring harness is not meant to handle the extra power the Aux. lights would require. Just add an extra power switch.

Mine are triggered by the running lights. If the switch is on, they will come on with the running lights. The same will work with the fog lights. You aren't using the factory harness to power the lights. Rather it only powers the switch. There is no need to worry about over powering the factory harness if you only splice on to run the relay.

Fwiw, in my experience, as long as your using LEDs aka Rigid Dually D1 or D2's the power draw is negligible...

Try using the positive wire going to the lamp itself.

that's perfect how ever I didn't need the cap. standard relay, don't know why ,head lights needed it. then found a solid state relay that works with out an added cap.

On the later model Jeeps, a capacitor will be required when using the headlights to trigger a relay. A solid state relay may be able to overcome the situation for a while. But this relay will eventually fail also due to incorrect supply voltage. On the other hand, the fog light circuit doesn't use modulated voltage to power the lamps. So standard relays work just fine. However, when tapping any OE circuit, you do need a "diode" to prevent back feed currents on the OE circuits.

That's why you use a relay. Your not powering the lights your powering a small coil that throws a switch via magnetic power. Then you use the other side of the relay to power the lights straight from the battery.
