Added 4 channel amp sound problem
That's the EQ from the factory head unit and limitations of the speakers. You are simply amplifying bad sound. The front tweeters are poor quality and the soundbar speakers do not have tweeters. You will get incrementally better sound if you put in decent aftermarket speakers. You will get excellent sound if you replace the head unit.
You will get all kinds of recommendations but it all depends on your ear. I love alpine type r for clarity but jbl gto has good low end response and kicker plays loud very well. Polk audio is also a rather clear speaker but ive never been a fan. My type r is a 6 3/4 speaker and its still a lil small for the opening so you can look at 6.5 or 6.75 inch speakers and start narrowing down what you like. I have always found it best to listen to a sound display at an audio shop and choose that way, you will be surprised that alot of lower end speakers will catch your ear and thats fine if its what you like

My opinion you need a sub if you want bass. I replaced speakers and added amp, sounded like complete ass. Upgraded headunit, run speakers off than, and use the amp to power the sub. Without the sub, it would have absolutely zero bass. Like it would sound like a laptop. I have this sub and it has a nice thump and is very low profile, and doesn't get in the way at all. Fits flat behind rear seat in 2 door and you can still stack gear on top.
