adding off road lights
i'm about to purchase two more hella 500's(4 total) and i want to mount them to my congo cage. what do you think is the best way to mount? i won't be running a basket for a while. i'd prefer not to drill into the cage. i saw some mounts for a 3" tube bumper, but they are too big. and are 15 a piece. any suggestions?

It's the kongo cage bracket.
I just took the little c shaped mount off the light mounted it using the inner bolts the kongo cage mount and reattached the lights.
They worked ok, but wasn't a lot of adjustment b/c the kongo mount.
You can see at the top of the pic where the light hits the bracket.
What I would have put a couple of washers behind the set up to move the light a little farther away from the bracket.

I understand some people may want this for the look, but fog lights are designed for fog when you want the light low to the ground and wideley dispersed so you don't get all the light reflecting back into your eyes. If you wire so it comes on with the fogs then you lose this ability. Also in most states it would be illegal to have this set up tied into any fog or high beam setting. The best way for legal purposes is to just wire them straigt to the battery with their own switch, or wire in a switch so they can only come on when the brights are on, and the switch is on.
we dont have fog in tokyo....well in the two and a half years i haev been here
The splitter plugs into their normal wiring harness, and turns one power/ground plug into two or three power/ground plugs depending on if you get the 2 or 3 light splitter.
2 & 3 Way Splitter Kits
2-Way Splitter
• Splits one harness power lead into two or three
• Plugs directly into Wiring Harness Kit (above) using sealed weather-pack connectors
• Offset connector lengths
• 14 gauge wire to handle high current loads
