Well thats awesome! Thanks for the help. Is there wiring in the tailgate that I could splice into or would I have to run something all the way to the dome?

I believe from reading, but I haven't done it, that there is a yellow/white that runs down the passenger side that is the dome circuit. If not, you will have to run it to the dome. If you want it to come on with the dome it has to be wired to the dome circuit.

For the other 12v feed, if you have a rear cig lighter you may be able to just tap into that. I don't know if it is switched or unswitched since I have a basic Jeep. But if you do have the rear cig lighter, it is switched if the cover has a picture of a key on it and unswitched if the picture is a battery.

Edit: I redrew it for you.

I love the idea of two map lights facing forward over the driver's and passenger's shoulders. I like even more the functionality of the left and right lights coming on when the left/right dome buttons are depressed. Anyone know how to wire that in? I see three wires going into the housing (unswitched power, switched power and ground) but get lost in the routing within the dome light housing itself. I'm guessing soldering to the leads that connect to leads on the bulbs?

Thinking about mounting this YITAMOTOR LED Light Bar on hardtop of my boat. How does it handle wet conditions? Does it fog up?
