Default Alternative for bumper back-up lights?

I've read a lot here and on other forums about how dim the round LED lights are that Poison Spyder offers for its rear bumper. Since I'm assuming Crawler Conceptz uses the same brand of light (the web images are identical), I'm hesitant to order a lighting package that won't cut the mustard.

Is anyone aware of an alternative 2.5-inch round light/2.75-inch grommet that would provide more light output? I'm curious about the 2.5-inch round LEDs JCR Offroad sells, but I'm not sure of their grommet's outside diameter.

Does anyone have any ideas or experience that might help?

lots of people are mounting the Rigid Industries flush mounts right into the stock tailights.

I don't have a picture but they basically go right in the spot where the clear lens was originally

Nice idea, but seems like a vulnerable location for offroading.

There's a few options for the round openings - check out Vision X and Rigid have some options that size that you can fancy in the round cutouts.

I have a CC rear bumper, no cutouts, but it fits a 10" single row perfectly (flood). *this is the only decent picture I have right now, but you can zoom under the tire. Works great.

I do also run the Rigid SRM in the factory tail lights. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll check them out.

And, by all means, keep 'em coming! I've got the bumper mounted, and those empty holes are already bugging me. 😄

I use a pair of DRLs with the halos for blinkers. Looks great and plenty bright. Had to make some small brackets but that was pretty easy to do with pliers lol.

Can you tell me the size of the hole? I've been trying to find replacement lights for mine, but haven't found anyone that makes them specific for Poison Spyder (other then the lights they offer). I'm starting to look at other aftermarket options/applications.

I just found some high power led driving lights that require a 2 1/4" hole. Dimensions are 2 7/32" round by 1 7/16" deep. Custom Dynamics has them http://www.customdynamics.com/high_p...ing_lights.htm. They're a great company to deal with.

Anyway, since you have easy access to your light holes, I'm hoping you can get that measurement. Hopefully we can find something that fits real nice without having to do a lot of modification or design work.

For reversing, the lights should be flood or diffused, and cover a wide area. These are 30 degree spot lights, so they will give just 2 relatively small patches of light right behind the Jeep.
