I run Auxbeam's off of Amazon. They are not as expensive as Rigid's but work for me. I was actually surprised on the quality of them and bought a set of floods as well.

Custom Dynamics has them http://www.customdynamics.com/high_p...ing_lights.htm. They're a great company to deal with. Anyway, since you have easy access to your light holes, I'm hoping you can get that measurement. Hopefully we can find something that fits real nice without having to do a lot of modification or design work.
I haven't taken a tape to it yet, but it's supposed to be 2.75 inches for a 2.5-inch light.

After confirming the numbers, I contacted a national parts manufacturer to see if the round LED lights they sell for their bumpers would fit in the holes in mine. The gentleman assured me they would, and was kind enough to point me to their vendor, where I could get the parts significantly cheaper.

The lights arrived, and the grommet will fit in the bumper, but when I put the grommet in place, the inner diameter shrinks from 2.5 inches to just over 2.25 inches -- meaning the LED will no longer fit!

Has anyone else run into a similar issue? How did you get around this? The grommet has to be installed first, as it has to bend to correctly fit in place, and lubing up the sides of the LED to help it slip into the grommet didn't work. I'm (momentarily) stumped.

Default Updates????

Any updates for this issue? I just ordered a CC bumper and I'm in the same boat. $60 just to fill a hole with crappy lights doesn't make sense to me.

Thanks!!

Agreed! I picked up a couple of M4-WHB4 2.5-inch lights and Truck-Lite 10700-3 grommets from superbrightleds.com.

I didn't do a real write-up, as I installed them during commercial breaks on last year's championship Sunday. But, I did post some better info on what I used here: https://smokeythejeep.wordpress.com/.../lets-back-up/

The big thing to remember is to do it on a warm day, as the grommets and lights are both a REALLY tight fit. You'll put in the grommets first, then slide in the lights.

Thanks. An employee at one of the top armor manufacturers pointed me toward these. He said they're what his company uses for the round cutouts in their bumpers.

They won't compete with something like a Rigid cube, but they get the job done and look good.

This thread referred someone to my blog today, which put me of the mind to update things. In the context of long-term use, I've not been completely happy with these lights. I'm planning to pick up a couple of KC Cyclones, which each put out 516 lumens and will fit inside the grommet for the first lights. I'll update again when that's done, but I feel more confident about the KCs than in the current LEDs.
