For any sound system, I recommend the following upgrades to the electrical system in the following order:

1) Upgrade the ground cable at the battery - most vehicles have a very small wire running from the battery to the chassis. Upgrade it.
2) Capacitor - 1 Farad for about every 1000 watts @ RMS
3) Alternator Upgrade
4) Dual battery system

Unless you are going for a competition level system, you really shouldn't get past step 2.

No, they also make a yellow top and blue top. The red top is more of a replacement starting battery, and the blue is a marine setup. You would want a yellow top for what you need it for.

Wouldn't they show it though? As a compatible battery?

The wire from the charger to the battery should be up-graded at the same time as the ground.

They don't always list up-grades. Just what is needed.

I believe they only list direct replacements.

For multiple batterys you must have a insane system...
Run a good high end battery ( Optima - Odyssey )must run
a capacitor - the bass will take juice from cap...I assume from
the amps (s) your running proper gauge wiring...
You'll get lots of knowleagable people on this form...
Just put the Odyssey in mine...

By the way what does your system consist of...
