Can you add an amp to the stock system in the jeeps? I have a Rubicon with the myGig, so I have the sub and whatnot, but I always considered adding an amp, thinking that it would make the system sound better...
if you can add an amp, what size would you recommend? I eventually want to add one more matching 10" sub to the opposite side if I can...
and would i need any additional hardware other than just the amp?

You just need a line converter and grab onto the signal at the speaker level. No biggie -- but definitely not as good sounding as going all aftermarket and getting pre-amplified outputs.
Yeah, you can, but I'm sure that infinity system isn't going to take much more power, and an amp wont make it sound much better.
Best thing to do it replace all of the speakers, even that 10 in woofer. If you want to keep the mygig, look for line-out converters as mentioned. I know JL audio has a real nice one, but you can have line out converters for much less.
If you want the best sound, trash the entire stock system. EVERYTHING. You'll get the sound and performance you want, but it will cost you.
In my opinion, you should keep the stock setup. I hear good things about it, and I'm sure that adding another amplifier, and an additional subwoofer down the road would probably be useless, or make it sound worse.
