I'd avoid the "Blue Light Specials"

The actual illumination is best at about 4,300 kelvin, (White, but a bit yellower than pure white) 6,000 K is not bad for sign illumination, etc...(white light).

The problem is that the bluer lights glare in bad weather...little usable light...you will have better contrast with the lower kelvin (Color temperature) around 4,800 K...still white, but you can still see if its raining, etc...

Default YUp!

That was def the plan! 4 or 5K. Bi-Xenon. I like the whiter lights (crystal white), I grew out of the blue headlights! The best price I found was $150 on Egay!

I picked up a set of "Vision X" H13 HID headlights... This kit was rated to 8000K, But they had a normal highbeam headlight, so you didn't lose your DRL... I love the colour, and foul weather hasn't been a problem, I find them very easy to see with

i am on my second set

first set i got was a 50w 6000k kit, that had a regular halogen light for high beams

the high beams sucked, but the low beams were AMAZING,

then i went to cibie and daniel stern, awesome lights but i kep going through bulbs every 2 months

now i ogt a bi xenon 6000k kit from ebay with a slim ballast, the ballst is tiny and its really easy to mount, he bi xenon magnetic bulbs are neat

the light output is nowhere near as good as it was with the 50w HID's but its ok for now

i personally like the 6000k bulbs better then the 4300k bulbs, they have a tiny purple hint to them and look identical to what comes on Escalades and lexuses as far as color

one thing the bi-xenon mangetic bulb has an awesome cutoff, so it doesnt blind people
