Default anyone using a PAC C2A-CHY23

I am installing an amp and sub into the mix.
I have the factory 6 disc with infinity sound system.

I love the idea of the PAC adapter so that i dont have to splice a LOC into the factory harness.

I am looking for feedback on the C2A-CHY23.

thank you.

Default I have the PAC

I bought the PAC for my Infinity system when I added my amp and sub. Pretty nice little widget. Has front and rear outputs that are before the factory amp. Has a remote wire, so you don't need to run one from any accessory or the fuse box. It also allows you to control the bass with the controls (bass and fade) on the factory head unit. You can actually achieve a very noticeable difference in bass by just moving the 'fade' from 0 to front 2, or vice versa for a little extra bass output.

you are saying that when you use the PAC adapter you can still use the eq control in the factory HU? I was under the impression that you lost eq control when you used the PAC because it says so in the product description. I'm on the fence with using this adapter or a LOC and if this is true i'll def go with the C2A-CHY23.

Default Def not compatible w/ 2013's

So I got this adapter thinking it would save me a lot of wiring. Turns out it does not seem to be compatible with the 2013 EVIC. I realize it isn't "officially" compatible with the 2013 yet but I figured it's close enough to the 2012 to give it a try. It worked great... for about 30 mins then driving down the highway my instrument lights went haywire and my wipers turned on. EVIC flashes "CHECK TPMS" speedometer and RPM gauge is erratic, compass and temp show --- and the RCA outs from the adapter stop sending audio. This initially stopped after i pulled over and turned the car off and on. Now it comes back after about 10 mins of driving and I can not get it to turn off and go back to normal. Probably will have to remove the whole thing. Turns out it does not seem to be compatible with the 2013 EVIC.

I contacted PAC tech support and they were not much help. The guy basically had no clue and said no one ever reported this problem on any model year jeep and offered no suggestions to troubleshoot. Also didn't know when an "officially" approved adapter would be out for the 2013's. There's some info around the net about this happening with some Dodge Ram and Chrysler 300's but I only saw a few jeeps with the problem and there weren't any solutions.

Guess I have to hold out for a new adapter. I wonder if the new TPMS with the pressure readout makes it incompatible? I wouldn't think it would be enough to cause the whole thing to go nuts though. would love to hear if anyone had this problem

Few questions:
-Do you have the Alpine system?
-What mygig do you have? 430 or 730?
-how did you get it for $40? I've only seen this for $75 and up

And also, did you connect the black ground wire during the install?
