No. I don't have the alpine system. I bought the unit that goes with jeeps with alpine systems(by accident). The Pac for no alpine systems is over 100. Anyways..it's all plug and play plus works with the mygig 420. Ill find the site and post it here.

The other benefit is that it comes with a remote wire as well...

Yea thats a different PAC adapter than the one discussed in this thread. The one in this thread is for factory amplified systems only.

I'm looking to maintain my stock HU (130 in premium system, 2012) while adding aftermarket amp(s) to power a sub and perhaps also the mains.

Can someone clarify, if I install the C2A-CHY23, what I would and would not be able to control from the factory HU? Volume? fade/balance? audio levels? thanks!

With the PAC adapter you maintain HU volume control, phone call volume, balance and fade. No EQ/tone controls, no control of the navigation voice volume. A word of caution if you do decide to go with this adapter: The quality control is pretty bad. The little plastic box is held together by some pretty weak clips and some glue. The wires for the RCA's are also of very poor quality and the entire piece is very susceptible to EMI noise. I can not seem to eliminate all the noise from my system no matter how I ground the adapter and where I position it. I have tried 2 and had issues with both. I'll randomly get noise that will just pop up for no reason and the remote wire will frequently cut out when switching sources. I know it is the adapter because I run through an audio processor and when I use a different source there is zero noise. Some others w/ this piece have had the same issues with no solution, other people don't have any issues. I gave up on it and used the high-level outs from the factory amp into my processor (bit one) and it works flawlessly now.

Thanks for the clarification! Damn :/ that's too bad about the quality control.

Is there another solution I should consider instead? Or I guess your route works too. I'm not familiar with Bit One. Will have to look into that.

Noise would drive me cold insane.

It's a shame the modern vehicle is so fancy we have to work to undo the factory system before we can move toward aftermarket. You'd think the audio companies and SEMA would advocate line level outs on the factory HUs so we didn't have to tear the damn Jeep apart.
