You can mount your sub any where you can cut a hole. You could mount it through your door if you wanted... How it sounds is another story... Doesn't look like there is much air space to work with under there...

have seen that many a times on TJ's but have yet to see anyone with a JK do this. pioneer makes a shallow mount 10 inch sub that would be perfect for a lil extra bass. have been thinking bout trying to do this as well.

Just take of the seat cover off and make measurements of the possible airspace, as long as the airspace is there for the right shallow subwoofer then it will work. I'll see if I can get some measurements, im taking my interior out this weekend as I install my sound system, im building a box for it but I guess before I build it I'll look into this space, Im going to be installing a JL Audio 13TW5, which only requires 2.5" mounting depth. If there is space and possibly not too much work I may try building a box in there, if not im sticking to my box design which would be durable and removable.

There's a guy on here that mounted 2 into the back of his rear seat. It's pretty bad ass. I just built a custom box for my 2 dr.
