Is it shutting the head unit off?
Or just the sound?
Also, is it a scratchy kind of sound ( think of what it sounds like when you plug in a speaker to a stereo).
Also, does it do it when the jeep is stationary or only when moving.
Just trying to narrow down if it is a loose wire problem or something else.

Is it a stock sub?, if not maybe it's overheating the amp or something

Well, there goes my loose wire theory.
Perhaps the Amp is over heating? i cant imagine why though.

Is there an click when it shuts off, perhaps a faulty relay?.
I beleive the amp is under the dash in the center, but i could very well be wrong.
