Default Auto Temp Module

I have a 2012 JKU sport with a manual HVAC Temp module. Does anyone know if an auto temp module will work? Or what kind of hoops I might need to jump thru. Looks like they both have the same connections on the back. Any info will be helpful.

I tried to do the same thing with a 2011 sport...the short answer is no. It will function, but not properly. You would need to add a couple of sensors which involves splicing into harnesses. Somewhere on this site somebody did get it to work, but IMO the reward wasn't worth the effort; at least it wasn't for me.
