Default Problems with Jeep Navigation head unit

I purchased a used JK navigation head unit from a friend with a 2010, it has U Connect, nav, Sirius, Bluetooth, cd/DVDs.
I installed it in my 2009 Unlimited to replace my base head unit. The unit worked great for three months and then I lost the 5 CDs that I copied to the hard drive, a week later the screen started to act weird with the pixels turning on and off, sometimes the unit reboots itself a couple of times but always seems to work at the end. Today my radio am/fm is not working.
Just wanted to get some feedback from the forum and see if any of you had any similar experiences and any fixes that may be available.
Thanks
John

The hard drive in mine failed and acted similarly. I had to send in for service.

OH9JK, where id you send it for service?

Does anyone know how I can replace the hard drive on my Nav unit. My dealer says they don't do that kind of work and that I need a new unit but obviously others have repaired it. Any recommendations on repair shops?
